MP3 disks for 2007 Mazda 3

I have the indash changer which the manual says supports MP3 discs on CDR and CDRW's but all of the discs I make don't play. I have been using Nero and going through Audio->Mp3 disc and have tried putting all of the mp3's in the root of the disc and keeping the separate directories but neither method works. All my player does is show track 1 and the time passing but I don't hear anything on the speakers and hitting Up/Down track just resets the time counter.

Help 🙂

It looks like the manual is schizo...One page states that the cd changer has mp3 support but then later on it shows that only certain changers have mp3 support.

Edit: My deck doesn't show the mp3 logo on it which would explain why it couldn't play the discs...

I have the audiolink ipod adapter. I like it. it has connector for ipod which is controllable from steering wheels and cd changer buttons (change playlists).
It also has a minijack connector if you want to hook up some other audio device.

Burn the mp3's as a normal data disc. My old Civic and Jetta hated when I chose to burn as "MP3 disc" and would throw out a disc error. Burning as a plain old Data disc works 100%.

Yeah it doesn't say it on the unit. Im not sure WHY I thought it was an mp3 changer other than what the manual stated. Oh well, I have a 30gig player coming in to hook up to the media plug.
