OK, so last year I had my mind on the muvo2 fm, but since ipod nano is released, I don't know anymore lol...

Creative has UMS support for that muvo2, 5 GB CF Microdrive by seagate, voice recorder, fm tuner, etc.

Ipod nano has no UMS support, 4 GB flash drive, and a color screen for pictures.

Which would you take?
I'm going to pair em up with Sharp MD-33's hehehehe.

Muvo2 fm$220
4 GB Ipod nano $250

Edit: My mistake, I mistook a micro hard drive for a flash drive ROFL..
Boy do we learn new things fast and hard.
Yes, join the stupid thread.

i wouldn't consider the 1.5 inch screen for pictures a "plus". That's like looking at 2 stamps side by side

I'd get a Nano because it looks cooler and the price difference probably isn't that much?

I've owned two excellent MP3 players in the past, starting in 2000 - a Creative Nomad II and a Rio Carbon - so don't you MP3 player noobs bug me about going with Apple. :p

Better Software? I hope you are being sarcastic.

iTunes is the best music manager out there.

Edit: OP - Get the Nano.

which actually means you'd be happy with either, i think. unless, of course, your friends in "real life" use the ipod as a status symbol and make fun of you (if you end up getting the muvo)

*edit* "make fun" not "for"

now that's up to you, do you want something for it's cool looks or it's features. i think that's an individual decision

muvo

imo, the features are better off in the long run. for me, at the end of the day, it's about my music collection and the sound quality, not how cool the player looks.

you are fvcking on crack, itunes is not the best at anything

organizing your music in folders Like This and the ability to drag and drop >>>>> ANY PROGRAM could ever be

i used to own a creative player and the software you use to transfer files couldent be easier to use, - find - select - transfer, takes like 3 seconds, and that all you had to install or ever use,

Hmm, "better interface", thats subjective, "better software", thats just wrong, don't tell me Zen Explorer or whatever Creative calls their CPU cycle whore beats iTunes. FM Tuner, Recorder, don't care. Cheaper, yeah, but its 3 times as thick. More space, well, you got me there, and better SQ, you're right.

There's a product for everyone these days, buy what you want. I wouldn't get the Nano to "view pictures". I don't want to view pictures on a 1.5" screen, its a gimmick. I'd get it cause its thin, and its a 4 GB flash player for 240 after tax and shipping (student discount heck yeah).

I don't think of iPods of a status symbol, I wouldn't have got one if I didn't scam my way to one on the internet, but the Nano is damn sexy. Get it. The interface is fine, you'll never use the FM tuner, and it's cool as hell and isn't going to be trumped anytime soon.
