I would like some recommendations fpr free software available on the net for converting cd's to mp3's. My neighbor wants to convert several cd's. Thanks in advance.

For MP3, EAC + LAME

Personally I wouldn't evenb other with MP3.

Use AAC if you must have lossy, FLAC otherwise.

Oh pull the stick out of your ass & be helpful.

It took just as long for you to post that useless, trollish post as it did for me to answer his question.

Not only is this the wrong forum, but I see people who know better that are helping and encouraging this kind of misposting. There is even a STICKIED thread at the top of the software forum with "freeware" in the title.

No, my Nik costume. Normaly I don't care since I know sometimes you just don't get a response in the other forums, but its right there at the top. He didn't even have to go through and type up a post, click on the thread and go down to audio/mp3.

EAC + Lame.....end of story. Go to Hydrogen Audio forums to do some reading on quality settings unless you are happy with the defaults in EAC. Most people would be but if you are particular some testing is in order. Great programs and free.
