mp3.com music free???

are the songs on mp3.com free? can i download them and use them as i wish? or are they still copyrighted by the artists? i know mp3.com is different then the other download sites.. but i'm just not 100% sure. If it's NOT free.. are there any other sources for background music.. like hiphop beats.. or alternative background music.. etc.. no vocals.. just beats.

They still have a copyright. You can't use them in a video or anything, but you can distribute them online as much as you wish.
