tis confirmed by easybuy2000... but the exterior plastic quality of the Rio Volt looks MUCH better. dunno if it's worth the $15 difference though.

The RioVolt is SAHHHH-WEEET!

Now I'll just wait for this bad boy to hit the sub $125 mark and I'll be on that like white on rice baby.

Does anyone know if there's a portable mp3 cd player coming out that includes FM radio built-in to it? I can't believe no one has included that yet...

i bought this when it was 90. i didn't like it at all. wouldn't play my mode 2 cds (IIRC it needs mode 1 or something).

i used it 3 times. sold it on egay for an even return.

I bought the genica several months ago, had problems sent it back, they replaced it with the Tavarua had problems with that, sent it back they replaced it again and I am having the same problems, so I think it is just inherent with these. I get sporadic pauses while playing cds in it, both retail audio cds and mp3 cds. It does not like to be vertical and it really does not like to be in a coat pocket or somewhere that moves a lot. I don't mind the lack of tags, who has time to page through 140+ songs anyway, I just record a cdr with what want to hear and hit random play.

I have a Classic and it works pretty good, except for these annoying 1 sec pauses every now and again. Got it for $100 at Circuit City, the only place I've seen them BTW. I like it, it's a decent player, but I may upgrade to the riovolt for WMA support. But I think the classic is the best buy for your money@$100.

Classic needs to be used with MP3's that are not put on cd's by packets(ie Adaptec software), you need to use something like musicmatch to record mp3's to be able to play on it. It's the same as Phillips.

I need something I can strap to my arm and jog/workout with. This one looks too big, but I haven't seen any decent deals on a RIO in a long time. Can anyone help, or must we start an !~~~~ I wanna ~~~~! thread?

NICKel: 8cm cds are the little cds you sometimes see given away as promotions. They hold 180megs or 21min of cdaudio. That 8mm mp3 cd player is a great idea. The unit should be about the size of an portable MD player, but hold at least 2x the music 74min MDs hold. Hmm...I'm torn between the 8mm player (for coolness and portability) and the SoulPlayer (for maximum music per disc and cool features, remote, big LCD, etc).
