Quite frequently, I would say daily, I will be working on an email in Mozilla Thunderbird and out of no where, it just crashes. It doesn't do the normal application hangup where you can wait it out or hit the X and click "End Task Now" but rather just disappears. After it INSTANTLY disappears I check the Windows Task Manager and thunderbird.exe is not there. It completely closes up.

I've also experienced this with FireFox 2.0.0.14 with it mainly happening when I am logged into and working within my GMail account.

Am I the only person that this non-sense is happening to?

Did you somehow set up a hotkey to close it? I never have experienced this issue.

I get this issue on occasion too with FF (don't use thunderbird). Sometimes when I open multiple tabs at the same time. Sometimes when I'm just working with 1 or 2 tabs.
It hasn't happened as much lately. Though I may have unconsciously changed my browsing habits to avoid this issue ;)

Right now, my bigger annoyance is FF won't access Yahoo, so I have to use IE to check my email :(

Some apps simply kill themselves whenever they encounter a segmentation fault or program error. You might file a bug or request assistance in debugging the problems on BugZilla.
