Mozilla FINALLY makes the Bookmark Popup open....

when you FIRST press the Bookmark button in Firefox! Gee, that only took forever. So long, in fact, that I thought something was wrong the first few times I used the button today, because the pop-up kept disappearing.

After all this time, I wonder what made them change it?
 
Mine always went to unsorted if I didn't click the button twice. And looking it up revealed that this was normal. I dunno.
 
I believe this started in v. 47. Before I recall that I'd have to click it twice to get it to show up. Much welcomed change!
