Check out this announcement!

Mozilla RC2 has been released with fixes to 15 of the most frequent crashes, including bug fixes for Win32, Unix, OpenVMS, Solaris and Mac OSX platforms.

Did anyone else find RC1 completely useless?

The mailer(what I primarily use Moz for) was screwed up beyond belief, and the browser had tons and tons of bugs in it.

Tried it on two boxes, same thing.

I tried it, and it's pretty cool. I like the tabbed browsing and pop-up blocking features, but I can't get the damn mouse wheel to work. I have the same problem with Netscape 6, and I wish that they would fix it already!

Nope, Mozilla has been my full-time browser since 0.9.4 and it improves with every milestone release. I don't notice any particular problems lately, but I don't use the mail client either. In fact, SuSE's build of RC2 that I use does have one minor bug that the RC1 build didn't have.

The official Win32 build doesn't exhibit that problem, so I'm assuming SuSE's build engineer may be responsible.

In any case, I've been happy with Mozilla as a Web client for a while now, particularly since 0.9.8 or so. FWIW, I believe the general feeling is that there are better mailers out there than Mozilla Mail.

The only thing I've noticed is the highlighting text doesn't seem to copy it to the clipboard. I'm fairly sure that worked fine in earlier releases.

I'll upgrade next time my browser goes down, I've got to much stuff open right now. Maybe in a few weeks 🙂
