Moving XP to new drive/partition

I'd like to move my XP OS to a new drive/partition but my searching hasn't found any instructions or utilities that create a new bootable partition without knowing some additional technical details to complete the process.

Can the forum point me to instructions or better yet a utility that will do the job?

I didn't want to spend move time on moving than just reinstalling.

Thanks!

You need to Clone the old drive to the new one ... most hard drive makers
have a Utility you can download for free at their web site to do this.
You can also do it with Acronis Tru Image or Norton Ghost if you have them

Thanks, I'll check the man sites and Acronis Tru Image.

Ghost flopped on me when it found out I was running XPx64

true image supports x64 windows definetly. even vista is supported in the newest version of TI. but if you need only cloning software, there is Migrate Easy prog also from acronis, and it has 15 day full working trial version.
