So I have Acronis True Image which I've been told is great for cloning partitions. My system drive is ready to die and I want to move my windows install to my other hdd. The thing is, I'd rather not reformat and lose all my data from my working disc just to clone windows onto it. Acronis won't clone onto a drive with data on it, even though I have enough room. Is there any way of doing this?

If you're cloning current HD to same-size or larger-size HD, use the cloning utility offered by the maker of the new drive.

I've used utilities by both Western Digital and Maxtor. Both utilities perfectly cloned multi-partition drives - including choice of auto-scaling or manually selecting partition sizes on larger target drives.

Hope this helps!
