Moving Win2k from D: to C:

I currently have 2 partitions on a 15 gig drive, windows 2000 is installed on the D partition. I would like to combine the two partitions into one large C: drive.

My question is what kind of precautions do I have to take because all of the system files and windows is located on Drive D which will not exist after the repartitioning.

I will be using Partition Magic 6. Thanks for your help.

Last time I did that with partition magic, it automatically ran drivemapper after changing drive letters (dont remember exact name). But it took longer to do that than it would to completely reinstall. Also not all programs would work correctly after that.. and some windows programs were definately screwy.

I wouldnt bother doing that with Win2K.... not even sure you could correctly perform that with partition magic.. unless thats a new feature of ver. 6

I realize that drivemapper can re-map the drive locations for programs but can it do the same for the operating system, making the move from D to C work? Anyone have any experience with this particular issue?
