Moving WHS setup from one box to another...

Current WHS system is as follows:

Opteron185 CPU
4GB ram
A8N-SLI Premium
OS on WD Black 640GB
- on the SATA1 port on the NForce4 SATA controller
5 Samsung 2tb drives
- 3 on SATA2, SATA3, SATA4 ports on the NForce4 SATA controller (non-raid)
- 2 on SATA1 and SATA2 ports on the SIL3114 SATA controller (non-raid)

All this is in a tower desktop case.

I've recently acquired a new 4U case, SATA 4-port card, and 5 more HD's.

My question is when I move the hardware (mobo, CPU, RAM, current HD's) to the new case, will I have to keep all HD's on the same SATA ports they are on now or will WHS be able to see my storage regardless of what SATA connector they are on?

I have some colored tabs I can use so marking them won't be an issue but I was just wondering so that the migration can go as smoothly as possible.

Thanks in advance for the input and answers.

I made a hw upgrade about 5 months ago. I am pretty sure I plugged in my 6 SATA drives in reverse order on the new mobo (by mistake, of course) and to my surprise, WHS recognized them all. I "THINK" it tags the drives with metadata info so that you can plug them in any port. But, I'd use the color tabs and keep the drives in the same ports. Why take the chance?
