I have to write the rough draft of an essay on, "Why did so many people move to colonial America?"

It's not going to be terribly long and I'm not even going to write an intro or conclusion tonight. I was just wondering if any of you knew of some good web sites that explain some of the motives or if any of you history buffs out there could let me know what I should focus on.

Thanks.

Hahaha, I figured that google would be the first link posted. :) I've been trying on google for a couple minutes now and I haven't gotten anything good. I'll try some different phrasings and may stoop to mega rambling on the tiny documents that I was given. =)

Woah, the history channel page is sweet. I'm going to use that more often =) =).

Maybe you should read up on what life was like in merry old England during those times. Surely there were reasons for people to leave the safety of their homeland and venture forth to an unknown continent.
