So the wife and I are moving to Naples Italy for a least three years for her work. I retired last month so I have a bit of free time on my hands for the time being.
I am a gamer and a computer enthusiast. I have a Netflix subscription now and getting into Streaming via Kodi.
Our sponsor over there said they purchased a mobile VPN service and a VPN router prior to leaving the U.S.
and went with Witopia. https://www.witopia.com/ Does anyone have experience with them as there are so many to choose from?
I am familiar with a VPN but not a mobile VPN service but assume it is just a software App gateway that would be installed on the phone to gain access to their VPN. Is this correct?
I have an stock ASUS RT-N66U Router now so I believe I am good with that as far as hardware goes. I do not know what options I will have for internet access over there until there, but was told the closer to the city the better options I will have. In the rural areas, I may be restricted to satellite internet.
I understand it's best to setup the VPN service while still in the states correct?
Am I forgetting something? Does anyone have advice on this transition or can point me in a direction to learn?
