moving to KC, whats the best way to find a good bank/credit union?

Moving to KC and I need to find a good bank or preferrably credit union over there, whats the best way to find one? I don't want to get raped on fees and surcharges. Plus I want to be able to get a good rate on a mortgage in a year or so.

1) There's a few KC people on here, edit your thread title asking for KC bank/credit union suggestions and also put it in your sig.
2) When you arrive in KC, ask around, friends, neighbors, co-workers, anyone.
3) IF you can find reviews in a KC newspaper, doubtful but a possibility.
