I live in California right now, but i wanna move to australia and work there for a couple years as a mech engineer/

Does anybody know if i would be required to get like a visa, or a green card or something.
 
do you already have a job lined up? the employer should know the procedure

if you don't, i am not sure they'll just let you come over and compete for jobs with the natives, most countries have pretty tight immigration laws for legal immigrants that don't sneak in
