So, I want to pick up a 1TB hard drive since my 160GB is not cutting it.

Is there a way to move all my data to the new drive with the partitions taking up the same percentage of space with the same layout? So I don't have to go through the trouble of starting from scratch with new partitions and then rummaging through all my files and copying it over?

Acronis Trial version will do just that. I did it a couple weeks ago moving from 250gb to 1tb, and had no problems. pretty easy setup too, kinda no-brainer

Or just use the disk management tools provided by the hdd vendor (free download from site if not included on disk with drive) to clone your current drive onto the new drive. There will be an option to set up your new drive as the system boot drive which will copy over your OS & files intact.
