Moving the pagefile

Arg...i Can't seem to find a program that would defrag /and/or move the pagefile to the outer track of my hard drive. Any ideas or suggestions?

quick update...i found this program...VopXP...omg...do not use it...it keeps crashing when i used the Virtual Mem optimization...and when it crashed...i decided to reboot...and then my drive became unbootable...had to use the Win2k repair console to get things going...luckly nothing was corrupted...

You can use Diskeeper 7.0 to defragment the Pagefile (By using the boot-time defragmenter), but it won't move it to the outer track.

If I remember right Norton Utilities Speed Disk will allow you to defrag the pagefile and put it at the end. I hate the defragger because it always seemed to slow my system down afterwards instead of speed it up, but I think it will do what you're looking for.

If you're paging enough that moving the pagefile to the outter tracks makes a noticable speed difference, you need more memory.

Sysinternal's defragger does not move it to the out side....arg...i guess i might have to go find some bargin bin and get Norton SPeed disk 5 for NT to do this..
