This is for Vista but should work for Windows 7 as well.
First is to move the Progam Files directory back to the drive letter you want it on.
Then see below .. this shows how to move them from C:\
to somewhere else, but you can use it to go back to C:\ .. from say E:\
The installation of most software programs are set by default in the
C: Program Files. Below is a means of how to change into another partition.
- Under Windows Vista, select "Run" from the Start menu.
- Click Start> Run (or Windows key + R)
- Type regedit and click OK.
- Scroll to the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion
- On the right window, double click on the key ProgramFilesDir and modify data in this key by the new path for the installation folder.
- For example, enter the path Program Files, to change the partition on which the facilities are
