Okay, I changed the drive my pagefile is on from c: to e: (running out of space on c: ) in win2k

How do I get rid of pagefile.sys on c: ? It won't let me delete it because of a sharing violation.

have you tried rebooting?

if you changed it, you might need to reboot before it takes effect

just a thought

Several reboots and windows still tells me it's in use when I try to delete it.

Never mind, point is moot now. Hard drive just started clicking and bit the dust. Thanks for looking anyway!

I have a gig of memory, therefore I am running without a pagefile.sys.

You shouldn't do that, no matter how much memory you have.

If you have the options in 'Write an event to system log' then you will have to have a minimum of 2Mb Pagefile on the boot partition drive.
You can just set the C drive to use 2Mb and then your other drive with the space to whatever.
