Moving Origin and games to another HDD.

I have an SSD with my operating system, a 2nd HDD with Origin and its games and a new HDD that I want for games only. Not too long ago I had to replace my SSD so Origin only exists on the 2nd HDD and none of its files are on the SSD. In other words I haven't reinstalled Origin.

What I'm wanting to do is move Origin, its games and saves to the new game only HDD. With Steam everything went smoothly but Origin seems to be a bit different. I'm not sure what step to do first since technically Origin isn't installed. Can you offer any advice or links please?

Will this method work? http://www.overclock.net/t/1222388/guide-moving-reinstalling-origin-and-games-without-re-downloading

I have no idea if that will work, but anytime I do this I just use mklink in the command prompt to create a junction. Basically a junction is just a shortcut from drive: \directory\location_where_program_looks to drive: \directory\location_where_stuff_actually_is.

Thanks darkewaffle. I've heard of junctions but have no experience with them. I could always use it as a 2nd option.

I guess I have nothing to lose by trying the other method as long as I don't delete the original E:\Program Files (x86) file.

Just copy over the games to the new place, and point origin to them via where you want to install it.
It will go through the motions of downloading, but, it isn't actually, it is just checking the files.
Then, when done, you can play again.

Thanks. A combination of what you said and what the link stated worked. 2 of the games I haven't tried because they both need browser extensions and BF4 wants to redownload the dlc's for some reason. All of the games haven't been updated for at least 2 months so who knows.
