I am a bit confused here.. I was trying to make my NIC LEDs work on the front of my case. I have (well, had) a 3COM 3c905-TX. Here's what I did: I soldered wires to the activity and 10mbit link LEDS. I soldered my wires to the back side of the card where the pins were sticking out. i made sure that none of them touched. when i got everything on the card, i booted it up in win2k.. the LEDs worked great, but the card did not detect the LAN and did not work right. what could i have possibly done? the only think i can think of is that the heat from the soldering iron killed something. any ideas?
