Moving my anime

Hi, I have some anime on my laptop and I want to free up some space on the computer and move it to a flashdrive.

If I "move" all of my anime off my hardrive onto a couple flashdrives will free up all of the space? Or will there still be traces?

Also I am kind of of interested in an external hardrive. Basically It is a huge flash drive right? I can just plug in the bigger 250gb external hardrive and move all my anime onto it and ect.

Does it act exactly like a flashdrive? thank you so much.

what i recommend is for you to copy your "anime" heh off to another drive. unplug that drive, plug it back in, test that it is reading it well.

then delete your "anime".

then use sdelete.exe or similar government clean tool to wipe unused space a few times.

maybe throw in a defrag too after wiping.

usb 250gb drive is just like a flash drive - be sure to eject it before you unplug.
