I am about to get another workstation. I need to move my XP Pro session from one to the other.
Does anyone have any ideas for doing this.
I normaly
1) Move the whole hard drive. Pro I get everything as is Con all the devices reinstall themselves and I'm never sure I have the right drivers now loaded.
2) Back up my current seesion and then restore it on the other machine. I can never get this too work if anybody knows how to do this so that it restores everything including shortcuts and doesn't restore drivers I'd love to know how.
3) Just rebuild the whole thing from scratch. Takes just too much time.
Please post your ideas/ comments on this common problem.
