I need to rent a truck, a 14 footer, for Saturday in L.A.

What do people recommend. I've used Uhaul before but they charge $30 + $1 per mile. I've had bad luck with Budget.
 
uhaul is still cheapest, but their truck is crappiest and their reservation system sucks. if u book a slot they dont guarantee u a truck. u hvae to get there in the morning to get one, especially if its last weekend of the month where people do a lot of moving.

which part of LA are you in? try ryder perhaps?

I'll check out ryder. For comparison I checked out budget and they're about $200 for an in town move.
 
Ryder isn't really convenient. They're in Rancho Dominguez. I think with Uhaul you can at least drop the truck off at another location in town.
