moving hard drive to another motherboard

Motherboard is bad
Bought a new mobo
transfered old parts to new mobo
system won't boot to old hard drive which is not a suprise
using win xp pro operating system
both systems amd
Question: Is there any way I can get this new mobo to boot up using the old drive so xp can pickup the drivers?

Is the motherboard the same? If so then maybe. If not, there is a way but its a pain.

different motherboard. I have moved an older hard drive to a newer pentium motherboard . I thought if I bought a amd board it might work amd to amd. Can you link me up with some info

Do a repair install from the Windows cd, this will get you up & running on the new hardware.
