Moving furniture through small doorways sucks

Any idea how to get a 7.5 foot, 38 inch deep cough through a 30" doorway? Ugh. removing walls is not an option, either, unfortunately. I have yet to see how tight a fit it is, but even turned at an angle, will this work?

Tell me about it. I never understood why they won't make doors much bigger. Last year my friends and I had to move 72 inch couch through 68 inch door. Lots of fun.

If the couch is only 30" tall, turn it with the back of the couch to the ground, andgle is slightly, and carry it in.

Reason #1 why the house I build is going to have 4-5' wide hallways and most doors will be at least 36", if not 2x36" doors.

Indeed. When I built mine it was almost exactly to these specs.

See this is why I ask here... I never think of thing slike this. This should simplify things.

What he said, but take the legs off and put the couch on its front with the back of the couch facing the ceiling. It's easier to carry this way as there's more to hold onto, like an arm.

That works, too. If that mogulmonster guy could spell, it would also help. 😛

You know I was just sitting here thinking, it can't be 2.5 feet tall. That's way too small for a couch... I am now thinking it's 3.5 feet, it has to be. Something is amiss here... either it's 2.5 feet deep and 38 inches tall, or someone doesn't k now how to use a tape measure. Ughhh this is going to suck.
