just switch them, wouldn't make any difference. u'll still have to reinstall drivers tho. if you're switching from 5900NU back to Ti4400 it's probably better to uninstall the drivers since 5900 uses newer drivers.

No need to uninstall drivers or anything. nVidia cards all use the exact same drivers... I switched from a "Ti4600" (overclocked Ti4200) to a FX5900 and didn't reinstall the drivers... well... not until I started playing with different versions. But yeah... you don't need to uninstall the drivers. Just swap cards. Although... if you're overclocking your Ti4400 with a program, or with coolbits... you'll want to set it back to the default so that your new card starts out at it's default settings, not overclocked... or... underclocked in your case since the FX5900 runs at 400/850 and there's not a GF4 in existance that can overclock that high =)

Um, I would uninstall drivers anytime I installed a new card.

Theres got to be some differences w/ the way drivers are installed on different generations of cards.

Theres that whole recognition moment when you install a driver, and it determines what card you have, and what you will need.

Takes a big 5mins more to do it right.

With nV it will redect the board when he reboots and recognize it properly after that(it goes through the motions like you are installing new drivers, without actually doing it). I never uninstall drivers when moving nV>nV on the hardware side.
