I got a deal I could not refuse on this chip and board.

It's the same chipset, will I have to reinstall Windows?

Also, does anyone know if this board has memory dividers? I don't need them, but I'm just wondering.

I usually count on reinstalling windows if I change the motherboard. I've never had it come out clean without doing it.

Not that there aren't plenty of reasons to do it, but what are your reasons for switiching motherboards?

Reinstalling will not be mandatory when going from same chipset to same chipset, its just like adding a few small pieces of hardware when the computer boots.

My last OS went through 2 mainboard changes, and lasted almost 2 years. Don't know about the dividers. Surely one of the many reviews outlines this?

even though u may not have to, i would still recoomend it. You wil probably gain some performace by doing a clean install w/ the new parts. (at least i tend to think so.)
