Moving Dell WinXP install to new Mobo

I am building a semi-new PC. I currently have an upgraded Dell 8300 (P4 3.0HT) and I am planning on buying an ASRock Dual-VSTA mobo & a Core 2 Duo and transferring everything else from my existing PC.

Will I be able to transfer my Dell WinXP to the new system?
I know a generic OEM license wouldn't have a problem, but I don't know about the big manufacturers.

Legally you can not as the OS Dell Shipped with the 8300 was a Dell OEM License

You can't transfer the license from one computer to another. Windows is wedded to the Dell computer. You need to buy a new version, buy OEM and save some money, for the new PC>
