Moving apps from one partition to another

Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to move programs from a second HD to my C drive without having to just reinstall it.

I have a lot of apps with a ton of settings, and I'd hate to have to research which files/folders I need to back up for each one.

Also, will doing all this bung up my registry?
 
Depends on the app; some applications can handle getting moved without problem (i.e. older versions of Photoshop). On the other hand you'll break some apps if you just move them (like Office).

Generally speaking it's better to do a reinstall.
