I am a subscriber and just renewed for an additional three months. I have written two emails to subscriber@antandtech.com over the past weeks but have still not gotten a response. I am moving out of state in less than a week now and will be changing ISP's and email addresses.
I need to know how I am going to regain access to my account once I am online in the new location. I can only tell you that Qwest will be our DSL provider but I do not have the email address for that yet.
Any ideas?

When I access the Forums from work, I enter my username and password and the server says "aha, this guy's on the Subscriber list" and automatically sends me over to the Subscriber server, where I re-enter my username and password, get my cookie :D and I'm off and running. Basically, should just be a case of logging back in. :) edit: naturally, you will want to get your password written down before changing email addresses! :p You can then change to the new email address by logging in and editing your Profile, right?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I was hoping that the scenario would work as long as I still have my "cookies" intact. :D (that'd be a first). But I thought that there could be a problem concerning the new IP address I would be using.
At any rate, I have everything backed up on my system (including cookies and passwords) and am not shipping my box with the movers; I am taking it in the car with me. (My wife's convinced that if we were short on room, she'd have to take a bus and my system would be in the front passenger seat. ;))

Hell, I buckled my computer and monitor into the backseat whenever I was moving. The one time I didn't do that and let someone else move it for me, they ended up knocking out my case window and subsequently I lost a hard drive. From now on my computers go in the car with me when I'm moving!

I'm not sure I entirely understand the problem. I'm pretty sure the subscriber thing is based solely off your user name and password, not your IP address. I can post here from the public library, school, (where I'm at right now) and at home (where I subscribed) - all 3 have very different IP addresses. You'd just have to make sure you know your password to your account when you go and change email addresses once you get your Qwest DSL. (Just because your old email shuts down doesn't mean you can't get onto AT anymore)

That's what I am trying to confirm/reaffirm. Just wanted to be sure. I never take anything for granted; it gets me into too much trouble. ;)

Yes, that is correct. :)
