Moving all in one day

Later today I make the attempt of moving all my belongings across town into a new apartment in one day, that and saving time for homework, picking up a wireless router for my apartment. Setting everything up in my new room, and still managing to find enough time to pull myself together and take a girl out tomorrow night. All of this fitting in a little studying, eating and a few errands to run here and there, should make for an interesting day. :)

Short list of things I have to do tomorrow:

Pick up U-Haul truck
Pack up entire apartment, couches, desk, bed, dishes...the whole nine yards
take all of my stuff to a new apartment across town
call my new roommate to make sure he leaves a key for me
return U-haul truck
pick up a wireless router so I have internet at me apartment
pick up package from fedex office
do 2 page write up for anthropology
set up bed and unpack clothes so I have something to wear somewhere to sleep
take girl out on a date tomorrow night
study for psych test
get no sleep

should be fun :)

If you don't have stuff in boxes already, good luck =P

I don't think it's possible. Then again, I took 3 days to pack up my dorm room...

Edit: I don't think it's possible without a lot of help.

I helped my buddy move his whole house in august. Just the two of us filled up and entire 35' uhaul truck, drove 4 hours and then unloaded it, all while it was like 100 degrees. Worst damn day of my life.

Nope not a single thing in boxes, most of it doesn't need to go in boxes though. TV, desk, couch, dresser, the only things that need boxes are things like clothes, dvd's and such. But I figure I'll just do that as I go along. Its just stuff in my room that I need to take care of, so I think I can get it all in one day...or try at least.

you must not have a lot of stuff, for me to pack up my 2 bedroom apartment, and then unload it into a storage unit, it took probably on the order of 30 man-hours

Sounds like you vastly under-estimated the suck that is known as moving.

Let us know how that worked out for you.

It only took me about a 2 days to move last time, and that was by myself and all I had was boxes and a ford ranger pickup truck. I think it will help that I have a U-haul this time, being able to almost move everything in one load.
