I am looking at buying a DLP TV, but I will probably be moving in 8 months or so. If I get a 42" I am sure that I can lift it (as they are a lot lighter than my 30" tube) but what about the insides getting misaligned - any danger?

As long as you aren't playing dodgeball with it, it will be fine. They aren't that delicate.

If you are moving it byyourself, I would pay to see it. but if you are just asking how delicate it is, that just dont drop it and you will be fine.

Depending on how it's designed, it might not be completely impossible. I have a 50" Samsung I can easily lift by myself (for taking it on an off its stand, for example), but I sure as hell wouldn't be able to move it very far, since I can't see anything when I'm holding it!).

its not that delicate really... It somehow made it from the factory to the store and from the store to your home, likely thousands of miles. As long as your careful, it should be fine.
