Ah, the shawshank redemption.... how could i have forgotten...

I can't say the same for Green Mile. I was sort of dissapointed when the whole movie suddenly became unrealistic an hour and half into the movie: when the black guy *absorbs* disease by breathing it in.... I was expecting some non-fictional plot like A Beautiful Mind

But that was the point of the movie... he got caught trying to save a dead little girl and that's how he ended up on death row...

King could have made the story just as good, if not better, without all that magical crap. He seems to like ruining the end of stories with those. The Stand is another example of another story ruined by the ending.
