Movies That Made You CRY

I love movies that simply give me huge emotional impact and make me all nice and fuzzy inside.. I would like to mention few of my personal favorites that has an unbelievably impressive ending which leave me to watch the credits in total awe..

In no particular order:

Braveheart
Persecutor: "I believe he has something to say to us now.."
William Wallus: *screams FREEDOM!!!! with every ounce of strength he has left before death*
To this response, even the seemingly cold-hearted persecutor was shocked and commanded to end Wallus' agony with sympathy. The music, the hallucination of his wife, the speechless crowd that were once wanted him dead badly.. This movie has all-time, hands-down ending that makes me want to rewind over and over again.

Gladiator
Maximus: "Free my men.. Roman empire is to be republic again. This was the last wish of the Caesar that I have served" (not accurate)
Queen: "Goto them maximus.. You're home..

Another winner.. I just loved the way how he slowly died, blinking in and out of life.. Seeing himself walking in wheat field.. opening the door to where his wife and son are.. The way camera was focused on him as his body finally gave in and fell.. while soundtrack kicks in.. woman's roman-like mesmirizing vocal..

Forrest Gump
How could I forget this movie? I was just reminded.. I loved the crying scene where Forrest greives in front of Jenny's tombstone.. how he talked about his son.. how he's growing up.. and how much they're gonna miss her.. Also the very LAST scene where Forrest sends his young child to school bus.. That part was classic..

Here are some other ones I'd like to mention.. I'm simply too lazy to emotionally talk about them.. here they are:

Anna and the King (great romance that's not cheesy)
REMEMBER THE TITANS
The Rock
Armaggedon
T2: The Judgement Day
and much more..

Hmm.. I'll add some more later.. I'm just eager to hear your responses..

I'm ashamed to say this (except to women) but I cried while watching Lion King and Armageddon (regarding Armageddon, I don't know how that happened but suddenly I realized my eyes were all teary)

Braveheart definately. The first time I saw it I err....got something in my eyes and they started watering on their own....

Also Forrest Gump. Quite sad where he speaks at Jenny's grave.
And American Beauty, where Lester dies.

Where The Red Fern Grows and Old Yeller.

I can't stand it when the dog dies....

I sort of avoid movies that make me cry... reading the newpaper every morning kind of gives me all the reason to cry that I need.

(and yeah, I bawled my eyes out for both Braveheart and Gladiator)

Was it the ending that got you? It got me too. I thought the movie wasn't going to end there but bang, it's over. It really shows the cruelty and unpredictability of gang violence.

a movie that I felt ashamed to admit to crying: Mrs. Doubtfire. During the hearing when the judge made him give up his visitation rights.

yea.. American History X is one of those movies which the ENDING makes it so great...

not only gang violence.. it's racism... utter ignorance and discrimination based on our superficial color.. it is very shameful..

[edit]
I also have to admit that those Disney cartoon movies sure know which button to press..

Aladdin.. Lion King.. but above all, Beauty and the Beast was a real tear jerker.. I believe I was about 10?

I watched ?Good Morning Vietnam? the other night and during the silent scene where they were showing how people were living their day to day lives, the background music being played was ?It?s A Wonderful World? by Ray Charles. It made me cry.

I am not one for crying in movies, but these made me cry:

Platoon-when they look down and Elias is running away from all the vietnamese, and dies. IT is playing a really sad piece which just made the scene even more sad.

Braveheart-The ending.
