Well, somehow I find any sort of movies (doesn't matter if it's .rm, .wmv, DIVX etc.) look very dark especially in the corners and on the side if I put them to full screen.
However my desktop look absolutely normal?
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Try adjusting the contrast or gamma in the fddshow codec. Also make sure your contrast, gamma, and everything else is set to 100%. What vid card do you use?

Well if your desktop is a generally bright color it might not really be as noticable, but generally movies are darker and the contrast isn't all that great on the 2005. Still, it's also not that bad (I own one). Maybe take some pics so we can tell whether you're just crazy? =p

If you accidentally click the Color Management tab in the nVIDIA control panel it will automaticlaly turn all of your videos dark (even if you don't set anything). Just set your contrast back to 100% for all of the layers.
