Zoolander. Talk about crap. It was hilarious when they were playing with the gasoline but the rest of the movie was stunningly painful. I made it 2/3 or 3/4 through the movie.

Windtalkers Has there been a worse war movie to come out in years? And I'm wrong for even calling it a war movie. What garbage. Stinks worse than a big garbage bin full of rotting racoons. I made it 1/2 through the movie.

The Royal Tenenbaums Hello? Anybody home? Wow, what junk. I made the most regretable mistake of recommending this movie to a friend and we both paid to see it in the theater. That's the only reason I finished it. I had to apologize to him afterwards and he has not forgotten it since.

The Thin Red Line Boring. Just so boring. Made it 2/3 through the movie.

Silence of the Lambs Just kidding ;) Hello, Clarice!

The Royal Tenenbaums was a very hit-or-miss affair among movie goers. I personally didn't like it the first time I saw it, but loved it the second.

Edit: I would like to add Old School to the list of movies that I hated.... what a piece of garbage.

Damn straight. That was one of the very very few movies I considered walking out of.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding

the ladies in the family insisted. it was even WORSE than I thought it could possibly be. even worse than the Wild Thornberries movie (I have kids) and that's going some.

I was underwhelmed by it. It was funny at parts but nothing spectacular. Definitely not something I'd ever want to see again. Couldn't compare to something about mary or meet the parents (or whatever it was called).

Damn, and here I just received Windtalkers from Netflix to watch this evening <sigh>.

I'll second the vote for Old School. What a bunch of hype! For a movie that claimed to be funny, the laughs were few and far between.

I guess maybe I rely too much on reviews, but I especially like how Rotten Tomatoes takes all the reviews and gives each movie a percentage based on the number of good/bad reviews it gets. That way, its based on basically what all the critics across the country think, instead of the smooze at the local paper.

It really cuts down on the amount of crap I bring home or go see. Usually if the rating is 60% or less, I don't bother.

And I thought I was the only one who felt that way about Old School....

Ack, I loved the Royal Tenanbaums and The Thin Red Line. All the other movies listed I agree on, though. :p

I would like to add Spy Kids and xXx.

The Royal Tannenbaums - definitely sukd

It's kind of like an emperor's new clothes phenomenon - somebody says it's funny and nobody else wants to seem too think in the head to get it so they all just say they thought it was funny too.

I would also put The Full Monty into the same class - hated it. Was not funny, but it was foreign so people thought they could put on an air of understanding higher humor by saying it was hilarious. Sukd worse than those 1960's British comedies on PBS.

You need to remember that some of those reviews are fluffed a little with cash from the studios.

But Rotten Tomatoes is a great site for getting a general idea of how a film is received.

I can't think of a movie I hate! I don't think there is one. There are movies I dislike but none I hate.
