Movies, DiVX and MP4?

i downloaded a movie recently and its supposed to be 2 hours long, or something like that. It cuts out after 42 mins. Yes the file does contain 2+hrs. Are there certain codecs or plugins out there i need to get to watch movies, music videos or clips i need to download? anyone got any links? Im using WMP and Morpheus, whichever works better. Thanks

If it is playing at all you have the correct codecs installed. The file itself is probably corrupt.

You prolly have an incomplete file with some header data. The header tells the player to expect 2 hours of video, then only has abotu45 minutes worth.
