I know this might be a silly question. I have a 7600 GT and have both VGA and DVI. Right now, the VGA is hooked up to my LCD TV and DVI is hooked up to my monitor. My question is, how do I watch a movie through VGA while keeping my desktop active through my monitor? I tried the extended desktop feature and it doesn't work too well. For instance, I have 5 users for my computer. I logged in to my account, activate extended desktop, play the movie (drag VLC to the other window). When I press log off (switch user), the audio from the video still plays, but the extended desktop feature becomes deactivated. Is there a way to activate extended desktop for my account, that when another user logs on to his account, its deactivated on his, but still activated on mine? Sorry for such a confusing question.
