I've always liked the Halloween movies. Michael Myers is awesome. However, I just found out that the supposedly random white mask that he picked up in a halloween costume store is a William Shatner mask! 😕 Who in their right mind would want to dress up like William Shatner for halloween? And why'd Michael pick that mask??
 
That is true.

"Due to its shoestring budget, the prop department had to use the cheapest mask that they could find in the costume store: a William Shatner mask, from Devil's Rain, The (1975). They later spray-painted the face white, teased out the hair, and reshaped the eyeholes."

They also liked the look of the mask because it was so generic and plain. Almost featureless. Making Michael Myers even more menacing.
