it's called movie hopping and it's normal for those who are too cheap to buy another ticket.

It means they bought a ticket for one movie, hung around the theater without going past the drop box for another movie to start, and then went in to see that movie. If they're entering through the exit, that means either an employee is letting them in or they're blocking the door so it doesn't close so they can re-enter. The theater I used to work in had alarms for the exit doors. If they're open for too long, a very annoying alarm goes off.

I know a guy - and this is not a joke, because he'll admit it - who has gone into a theater after pulling this trick and picked up somebody's large drink, gone into the bathroom to rinse the cup, and claimed a free refill on it. I think he does the same thing with popcorn too.

I understand people hanging around if they are a touch early, but who the hell would wan't to watch the last part of a movie. Most of them do it intentionally, to watch two movies. Why don't they catch em ? It is definitely annoying when you find all the seats gone and people who haven't paid for the movie sitting and enjoying where as you looking for seats !!
