Very good movie. The video game which is a sort of follow-up (made many years later) isn't bad though I never finished.

I keep waiting for it to be on clearance at microcenter, but it's still $13 or so. I remember it was at one point $1.99 or something.

I have always assumed they froze to death. IIRC the craft was either not finished or was destroyed, but honestly I'm not sure I'd ever considered that possibility.
