A brilliant plastic surgeon, haunted by past tragedies, creates a type of synthetic skin that withstands any kind of damage. His guinea pig: a mysterious and volatile woman who holds the key to his obsession.

Antonio Banderas plays the lead. It's in spanish.

WOW. Crazy flick. You don't realize you're watching something nearly as twisted as Human Centipede until about halfway through. Highly recommended.

Warning though.. it's pretty vivid. A few rape scenes included.

Has anybody seen this? I thought it was really well done. Acting was great. Filming was great. Overall, very well done movie.. one of the best I've ever seen.

Recommended to me by the girl I'm dating because it was 'crazy' and she said the rape scenes were 'kinky'.

btw.. the girls in it were stunning

The two main spanish actresses are nothing short of stunning. I can't believe I've never heard of these girls before this movie.

The Daughter: (actress - Blanca Suarez)

She's plays the surgeons adorable, young, but completely batshit crazy and traumatized daughter.

I almost went to see it at the cinema recently because Antonio Banderas gets reunited with a director who exerted a profound influence at the beginning of his career, but the subject matter creeped me out so I didn't go.

This movie was solid. Yes, it was creepy, but the girls are such eye candy that you almost don't mind.

I'm a huge fan of Almodovar, but I thought this one was terrible.

I slept through the entire third act. I learned later that my snoring was rather...loud.

Haven't heard of this, but there are some amazing Spanish flicks out there.... and the women. There isn't a smiley worthy.

typically, the women in most of Almodovar's flicks--the best ones--are horse-worthy.

Penelope Cruz does work with him a lot, though, and I believe Salma has, too. But in my experience, the Spanish women in these flicks have broke faces and such.

Look at the pics of the two girls I posted.. If you think they have broke faces..

You know how I know you are gay? ;)

JK

I haven't seen any of his other flicks so I don't have anything to compare them too.

yeah, so you didn't read my post.

it's weird--one generally doesn't go to an Almodovar movie intentionally without knowing it's an Almodovar movie. Was it that someone told you there were hot chicks in it? Were you worried that you would have to deal with subtitles?

I missed your first post.

I had never heard of the guy, but after seeing this flick, I'm intrigued.

I was on a date with a girl and we were talking about different movies. She brought up shock films, and I had mentioned Human Centipede. She then mentioned she had recently saw an independant film called 'the skin i live in' and she loved it and even said 'it has some pretty kinky rape scenes in it'.

She asked me to see it so I could tell her what I thought about it. I watched it, and I really liked it. I thought it was well done.

haha i convinced one of my hard core ultra conservative christian friends to watch it.

LOLZ his mind was blown. He won't even watch stuff like saw and would laugh at the idea of watching human centipede.

His first comment? 'That's why you shouldn't rape people.'

admit it, once the girl told you about it, you were automatically going to love it ;)

I haven't seen any Almodovar films, but I should at least try a couple

I think we're all missing the biggest topic here we should be discussing, Techboy's girlfriend and her rape fantasies. Please, elaborate more on this.

Ha!

Anybody I tell that story to will let me finish, then they immediately revert back to 'Sounds like a good flick.. she said the rape scenes were kinky?'
