sad to admit but I had to turn the light on to watch The Ring alone .... freaky

Exorcist (saw it for the first time when it was re-released in theaters a year or two ago)

I hate horror movies but can't pull myself away from them.

you got to watch it a couple of times ...lots of things that U will catch on after viewing it 2 or 3 times
 
None, really... I read a lot of Stephen King as a kid though, and that scared the bejeesus out of me... and probably desensitized me to scary movies. I think I started around 9... tackled "It" around 12 - I lived in fear for a good month after that one 😛
 
Movies are scarier when you are a kid, but then when you watch them again now, they are just lame.

Scariest movies when I was a kid:
The Exorcist
It
Child's Play
The Shining
 
As a kid I lost countless hours of sleep in fear from watching The Shining.

There are lots of laughable scary movies these days though. Like Jeepers Creepers for instance, there was only one part in that movie that gave me the creeps, can anyone guess which part?
 
"it" messed me up for life.. i still can't stand clowns.. *shivers*

more recently, the ring.. holy crap.. every time i look into the sink or shower drain and see "the ring"..

then i start thinking about the trailer for the grudge where sarah michelle gellar is washing her hair, and the hand reached out of her skull... yah.. that part freaks me out..

oh.. the new movie comming out.. "Saw"?? something about that scres the living shi! out of me.. i won't watch that.. oh, or "white noise" those are some movies you horror fans might want to check out
