trailer

Wow, just finished watching it...

for lack of better words to describe it, I've gotta say, this movie was GREAT! I saw the trailer, and honestly, I was expecting a good, but somewhat cheesy movie. I am glad to say that i was pleasantly surprised.

The main character Stephane, is played by Gael García Bernal (Che from Motorcycle Diaries). After seeing this movie, my opinion of the guy really went up a few notches. He plays his role very well, not really neurotic, or schizo, but just a regular guy who happens to live in a dream world sometimes.
I couldn't stop laughing during certain intervals of the movie.

The supporting cast was great too. Especially the people who work with Stephane in the office. Some of the best comic relief I've seen, especially the little guy, he cracked me up. To paraphrase one of his lines, "I don't mind being called a i love you, but ***, that's just too much." (it's funny when you see it)

I don't get it.

How many explosions are there in it? Any terrorists or subversives get killed?

no, but you get an analysis of a drawing depicting a plane explosion 😉

not really? kind of? 😕
think "Eternal Sunshine..." on drugs

I was hoping there would be more hype around it, what with Gondry directing Bernal...but I still can't wait to see it. Haven't been to the local indie theater in a few weeks, I need to make up time.
