Whoa!
I thought I was raised with enough cynicism and disbelief in the government from Watergate to Clinton's adulterous behavior to our current President's single-mindedness.
I was wrong. The cynicism shown in the movie is way far and above anything that I ever thought about our government. Watching this movie made me nostalgic for the good old days of just hating the Commies.
David Mamet has a very terse style of dialogue. He writes as I think we really talk. Sure it is confusing to us (the viewer) at the beginning because we don't know the lingo. But we learn and we catch on.
A totally believable movie. And while I still recommend it, it still is very depressing.
