Do you find that remakes of movies are boring because you know whats going to happen if you saw the original?

I watched King Kong (the new one) on Friday and i was somewhat bored with it. i think it was because i knew what was going to happen.

 
i like to watch movie remakes, unless I have to pay for it. it's like playing a game over again, except with better graphics.

I don't know if its a remake of the original or a different storyline. They're using a lot of the original actors.
 
I am still waiting for the day somebody remakes Forrest Gump with Snoop Dogg.

I think King Kong was boring because it was over 3hours long! And it seemed like half of that was just them trying to get to the island!
 
King Kong is actually one of few movies that can justify a 3 hour running length.
(So says an Indian guy who's spent his whole life watching 3 hour movies)
