Movie Pet Peeve!

Croton

AGH.

went to watch a movie on Fri night.

stupid ASS GIRL was talking the entire time and being a BIATCH!!!!

the entire audience was an older crowd (30's), and they did some polite 'shh' sounds.

well, this girl must be deaf because she kept on talking. and it was talking NOT about the movie, but talking about unrelated sh!t.

so i turned around, and yelled. "SHUT THE F*CK UP."

and boy, did she become quiet.

i HATE people who talk during movies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

agh.

Hey I talk during really BORING movies. And people get mad. But I shut up when they say. I mean, damn, that would be rude of me not to. But then there's other ways to tell people to be quiet. Throw popcorn at em or something. I think it's rude to yell at people to shut up. Plus I get really mad if you tell me to be quiet.

it is PLAIN rude to talk during movies.

everyone paid to get in, and it should be common courtesy to be quiet when you are in a public theater.

if people are being rude to me by talking during movies, then i will extend the same courtesy to them.

some people have no manners nowadays.

Good going, Croton!

Once I was at a movie where a small group of kids (12-14 years old, I was 15 or 16) was starting to talk louder and louder. I moved from across the theater and actually hopped over seats to tell them to "chill the fsck out." And they sure did.

More recently a lady in my row answered her cell phone during a movie, talked for a minute or so, then handed it to her little kid who talked for a few more minutes! There were more than a few 'shhhhs' during those few minutes, some from me. I'd have been a lot more upset if the movie wasn't Battlefield Earth. Just so you know, I got the ticket for free.

EDIT: four speeling😉

Hey, I may talk a lil during movies, but it's only WHISPERS, and I have the common curtosy (sp?) to turn my cellphone to vibrate or silent. 😉

I am personally going to go for a landmark case. Next person that yabbers on the phone more than 90 seconds during the picture and isn't making an effort to step out is going to get phone ripped out of their hand and thrown hard as I can at the floor / ground... whichever is harder.

Grrr... and if they sue me for the phone, I will fight it.

At least you can tell her to shut up........

My pet peeve is people's mutant BO 😛

Take a bath 😉

Cheers,
Aquaman

i like watching movies in westwood (i go to UCLA) because when there is someone rude (like on the phone or talking during a movie), the students there have no problem telling them to shut up. it's pretty funny because the offending person usually gets really embarassed, and after the movie ends, they run out as soon as they can trying to avoid the mob. 🙂

Good idea, Dameon.

I was thinking along those lines myself. It would also be funny to watch it go sailing through the the air and hit the middle of the screen. The the culprit would then have to get up and go to the front of the theater to retreive his or her phone. How embarrassing.

EDIT: fore moer darnm speeling.

Yeah, thinking I'd love to hear it smash against the hard floor at the front of the auditorium.

"Please take all calls OUTSIDE of the auditorium!!"

hey if you are courteously whispering, then that's a different story.

this girl was full on talking. :|

i want to open a theater where there are ushers in the actual theater that take care of problems like this -- for instance, if an audio or video problem occured, they would notify the projectionist and get it fixed ASAP; if someone was on a cell phone or talking, they would escort that guest out of the theater without a refund. since it's my theater, i could most do whatever i wanted. hehe

Then there are the kickers. The nervous idiots who sit behind you and constantly kick the chair in front of them and most in the row feels the constant annoying vibration. :|
So I try to make sure I sit not in front of anyone, but even then there's always and I mean always some who come in late and make it a point to sit behind you and yes, play kick the chair. So now I try to sit in the very back.

Then there are the non-stop crying babies, the loud mouthy gabby talkers, the ones discovering a laser pointer for the first time, idiots who let their cell phone ring and ring(hey look at me, I have a cell phone and I'm sooo cool) and then have the audacity to yap away on it.

So now I rarely go anymore unless it's a must see or someone wants to go. Satellite is so nice. 🙂

Croton... don't think it was what you said that shut her up..

It was the white hair & red eyes.. lol

The problem I have is that the theatres that i go to say very clearly in the opening sequence of every movie that there is no talking, cell phones, pagers, anything like that allowed... and one time i was sitting in the back of the theatre, and all of a sudden this guy up front stands up and screams as loud as he can, SHUT THE F*CK UP!!... and i was like holy sh*t, because i couldnt hear anyone talking... about 5 minutes later i see a theatre employee escorting one girl probably in heard mid teens, and one older guy (mid 20's) out of the place, and didnt come back... i think that this is a good thing when the theatre takes it into there own hands... nothing worse than loudmouth teenage sl*ts jabbering through the whole damn movie... i just dont have the b*lls to get up and say something to them...
