I just re-watched transformers and when Optimus transforms for the first time, i still get giddy with just how cool/intricate that is.

Also, I remember feeling that way when I first saw the matrix and Neo got up after being shot and beat some agent ass.

What about you guys? What movie scenes gave you either that giddy kid feeling of wonder/excitement, or gave you goosebumps from the cool factor?

I was a transformers NUT when I was a kid. They were my absolute favorite cartoons and toys. So when I got to see Optimus transform in pretty great detail, my inner nerd just totally geeked out

In Shaolin Soccer when the team first meets on the rooftop.

Jet Li doing Wushu out in the fields in Fearless.

When the screen doors open and behind stands Darth Maul who draws out his dual-edge light saber looking like he's ready to kick copious amounts of behind.

Yeah that was an awesome moment indeed.

I remember thinking WTF when the female assassin got head shot in the Sting. Then you find out she was a hired killer.

The Ride of the Rohirram in Return of the King.
The Storming of the Beach in Saving Private Ryan (when you hear the wheels turning and then the boats open up specifically).
The scene in Aliens when they can't figure out how they're getting inside and then they look in the ceiling and it shows a bunch crawling towards them.

When Thorton Melon (Rodney Dangerfield) pulled off The Triple Lindy in Back To School, I know it's a retarded comedy but that was pure bad ass. He lead the dive team to victory and saved the day.

Caine getting killed in Menace 2 Society when he's protecting the kid (Anthony) during the Drive By Shooting. He was so close to leaving the hood for good and dies on his way out. Gace me goosebumps to see the dude give his life to save the baby, so damn cool.

Oh yeah, Gmork gave me goosebumps too. When I was a kid that bastard made me afraid of the dark for months after watching this movie. :|

Theres a few moments in one of the three Bourne's, one or two in the original Star Wars trilogy and after Micheal kills the cop in The Godfather. There's probably a few other ones too, I just can't remember them right now.

Good one

I would also suggest -

The end scene of Band of Brothers, where the actor that played winters is narrating what happened to everyone after the war and then it fades to the real Dick Winters.

The ENTIRE movie "Monster" with Charlise Theron. That is the only movie that I have ever watched that I thought was profoundly awesome.

The end of "The Sixth Sense" Funny thing is that my mother sat down to watch it with me and my wife and she pegged the ending about 30 minutes into the movie. My mom has problems following "Family Guy" plots.

A bunch, but the original Transformers cartoon movie when Hotrod transforms with the matrix is one of them.
